Public pay tribute to Milton Keynes Police Officer who was killed in Boxing Day car accident

    Members of the public have been paying tribute to Milton Keynes policeman PC Daniel Clayton-Drabble, aged 24, who was killed on Boxing Day morning in a car accident in Northamptonshire.

    MKFM reported earlier that Mr. Clayton-Drabble was off-duty and died at the scene of single-vehicle road traffic incident on an unclassified road between the A5 and Whittlebury near Towcester in Northamptonshire at around 7.40am on Boxing Day.

    The Henry Allen Trust published a tribute to him on their Facebook page: "Tonight, here at Henry’s Towers we have an extremely heavy heart."

    "This amazing guy was a ‘Friend of Henry’s’ and helped us raise lots of funds. A true gentleman."

    "We are thinking of you, a real life hero and all of your family, friends and colleagues."

    "Thank you for being you and thank you for all the scares you gave at Henry’s Haunted House."

    "I hope Henry has found you and is giving you high five's."

    One member of the public posted this tribute on our Facebook page: "This officer came to my friends house last night. She passed away unexpectedly and he was so so lovely to her mum. He made sure she was OK and kept talking to her. He was kind and caring. Such a lovely man. So shocked to see this news."

    Another posted: "I met him last week. He was a true gent and professional. My thoughts are with his friends, family and colleagues."

    The investigation into the collision is being carried out by Northamptonshire Police.

    Detective Chief Superintendent Gilbert Houalla, Force Gold Commander, said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with Daniel’s family and colleagues who are being supported at this time.

    “We would ask that the family is given privacy at this time.”
