UK charity PSPA is launching a massive challenge to virtually walk the entire 7,700-mile UK coastline, and it all starts at Willen Lake.
On Saturday, March 28, the new city community is invited to join the official Pathway to Progress launch walk.
Kicking off at 12.30pm from Willen Pavilion, the 5km lakeside route offers a chance for supporters to meet the PSPA team and the Event Ambassador while helping to clock the first miles toward a monumental national goal.
Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a casual stroller, PSPA is calling on families, friends, and colleagues to join the collective effort.
Every step tracked via Strava will raise vital funds and awareness for the 10,000 people in the UK living with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD), two rare, life-limiting neurological conditions that currently have no cure.
Lack of awareness and understanding of PSP & CBD means 60% of people are initially misdiagnosed with other conditions, including Parkinson’s, stroke and depression.
Without a diagnosis, families are unable to access the emotional, practical and financial support they need to live the best life possible with these progressive diseases.
PSPA need your help to progress awareness so the charity can work to improve diagnosis and ensure no one faces these life-changing conditions alone.
