Prince William Visits Milton Keynes

The Prince met some of those who founded the 'new city' back in 1967 as well as a number of current community leaders.

Residents attended the MK Rose this morning with several people taking to Twitter after spotting the Duke of Cambridge on route to Campbell Park.

In 2007, The Queen visited Milton Keynes to mark its 40th anniversary when she opened Stadium MK, The Hub, and the St John’s Ambulance Centre at Greenleys.

The Mayor of Milton Keynes David Hopkins greeted The Duke on his arrival. He said: "We’re incredibly proud of the progress made by Milton Keynes in its first fifty years and we’re delighted His Royal Highness will get to see some of our achievements first hand, people from Milton Keynes, during our special year''
