Powercut affects homes in Milton Keynes estates

A powercut, which took place last night (11/3), affected homes across Milton Keynes.

Western Power Distribution said that homes within the MK10 postcode area were been impacted by the power outage.

It has been estimated by WPD that around 58 properties were without power when the powercut happened at roughly 10pm-11pm. However, residents in the MK7 and MK6 area have also reported that they were affected.

The powercut was caused by a "high voltage" incident, meaning that it affected a wide range spanning.

One resident wrote on Facebook: "Brief power cut in Old Farm Park at about 22.52 including street lights going out very briefly.", another said: "Same on Kent’s Hill."

Western Power Distribution wrote: "The incident was raised at 10:52pm Thu 10 Mar 22 affecting 58 properties. We successfully restored all supplies in the area by 12:43am this morning.

"We are sorry for any inconvenience that was caused by the power cut."
