Certain pork scratchings that are being sold in local supermarkets have been recalled due to fears of salmonella.
Multiple batches of Mr Porky, Jay’s and The Real Pork Crackling Company products have potentially been contaminated with the bacteria.
The Food Standards Agency has issued the recall following reports that people have become unwell after eating the contaminated products.
Common symptoms of salmonella include fever, diarrhoea, and abdominal cramps.
Our investigation with @P_H_S_Official, @PublicHealthW, @PublicHealthNI and @foodgov into over 170 cases of Salmonella Infantis across the UK has indicated that the source of infection is pork scratching products.
