Popular coffee chain submits plans to open new drive-thru in Milton Keynes town

Olney could soon have a Costa drive-thru as plans have been submitted to the local authority.

The plans, submitted by Burney Estates ltd, would see the site built on a plot next to the proposed new Aldi supermarket and opposite Sainsbury's.

Olney is already home to one Costa Coffee outlet in the Market Place, just 7 minutes down the road to the new proposed site.

The planning application sent to MK Council seeks permission for the construction of a new zero carbon shell building to accommodate a Costa Coffee shop and drive thru facility.

The proposals also include car parking for 27 cars as well as a circulatory route for drive through customers.

It could potentially provide up to 15 full time equivalent jobs once operational.

MKFM has contacted Costa Coffee for more information.
