Knife sweeps are taking place across the new city as part of the national campaign, Operation Sceptre.
Officers are undertaking a range of activities including targeted operations, engagement and education to reassure young people they are safer not carrying knives, and to walk away from harm.
On Monday morning, they conducted a series of knife sweeps in the area, and will continue to do so throughout this week.
As part of the operation, a number of amnesty bins have been placed across the new city for members of the public to dispose of knives and bladed articles in a safe and legal way.
The bins are bolted to walls and concrete flooring, and have a letter box design to allow knife deposits whilst stopping people reaching inside the bins. They are being closely monitored and regularly emptied with the contents carefully disposed of.
The bins are located at Frank Moran Centre (West Bletchley)
Melrose Avenue (West Bletchley)
Conniburrow Community Centre
Thames Valley Police Station, Witan Gate
You are reminded to ensure knives and bladed articles being disposed of are safely wrapped in tape and newspaper before putting them in the bins.
