Boy arrested following class-time incident.
Police officers are continuing to stay in contact with staff and school partners at a secondary school which was yesterday put into lockdown following an incident.
A 14 year old boy was arrested on suspicion of affray following the lockdown at The Hazeley Academy, which was carried out ‘to ensure the safety of all students and staff’. Nobody was injured in the incident, said police.
Initially officers – who had surrounded the school in Emperor Drive, Hazeley – remained on site to offer reassurance and assistance to students, staff and parents. They have left the school today but remain in contact.
“Officers are no longer at the scene but are in contact with the school and partners to offer updates and support where it is needed,” said a police spokesperson.
Thames Valley Police offered its thanks to the school community for their cooperation and understanding.
