Police seek witnesses after altercation at a Milton Keynes McDonalds

Officers from Thames Valley Police's Incident and Crime Response Team are looking for witnesses after an incident occurred in the car park of the McDonalds on the A5 at Little Brickhill at about 7:15pm last night (16/04).

On Friday evening the two victims in a grey Hyundai have ordered food at the McDonalds drive-thru before attempting to park up as instructed by staff. An altercation has started with three occupants of another vehicle - a red VW Golf - over the use of the parking space.

The occupants of the Golf have become verbally abusive towards the occupants in the Hyundai before throwing food and drink at them, hitting the driver in the arm, luckily causing no injury and spitting in the face of the driver. They have then caused damage to the Hyundai before driving away when confronted by other members of the public.

This incident caused significant distress and upset to two individuals who were simply going out to get food for their Friday evening. Luckily other members of the public intervened before this situation got worse and any serious injury or damage was caused. Investigating officers believe that spitting in the face of another person, particularly during a global pandemic, is also particularly disgusting and demeaning to the victim.

It is believed that this vehicle may have also been involved in an incident earlier in the week on 12th April, very close by on the A5 Roundabout junction with Bow Brickhill Road during which the driver of a lorry was threatened by several individuals.

Thames Valley Police are keen to speak to any witnesses who saw either incident and locals with any information are encouraged to phone 101 to report it. If you do not want to speak directly to the police, you can report information anonymously through Crimestoppers.
