Thames Valley Police have temporarily closed the A5 after a serious collision has occurred.
Police officers are on the scene after a serious collision is reported to have occurred in the early hours of the morning.
The closure is between the junction of Caldecotte and Kelly’s Kitchen roundabout on the southbound carriageway.
The extent/number of injuries sustained has not currently been disclosed by the authorities, though one local driver took to Facebook to describe the scenes they witnessed as "nasty."
It is currently advised that the public find alternative routes as it is unknown when the road will reopen.
