Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following an incident of dangerous driving in Bletchley.

At around 5pm on Thursday 11th June a blue Ford Transit van with a registration beginning BX54*** was seen driving on the wrong side of the road on the A4146 near to the Lakes estate.

The van was travelling at excessive speed and was swerving in the road, narrowly avoiding colliding with other cars.

A 42-year-old man from Bletchley has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving whilst under the influence of drugs and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent. He has been released under investigation.

Investigating officer PC Charles Holsey, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: "I am appealing to anyone who saw this van driving in a dangerous way or has any dashcam footage of this incident to get in touch."

"As this van narrowly avoided colliding with other vehicles, I believe that there are a number of witnesses who could assist with this investigation."

He added: "You can contact us using our online form or by calling 101 and quoting reference number 43200174559. Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously via their website or on 0800 555 111."
