Officers want to hear from anyone who saw smash which closed A5.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a road collision in which a man died yesterday on the A5 near Old Stratford.
The incident happened at the ring road roundabout junction with the A508, at about 1.35pm, when a single-vehicle collision occurred involving the driver of a black Mercedes AMG.
“The driver, a man in his 70s, was taken to hospital, but sadly died a short time later,” said a police spokesperson. “Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident, or anyone who may have dash-cam footage relevant to the investigation.
