Police appeal after teen has neck grabbed as thief steals phone in Milton Keynes

    Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a robbery in Milton Keynes.

    The incident occurred around 3.15pm on Saturday 8 October in Western Road Recreation Park, Wolverton.

    The victim, a boy in his teens, was sat on a bench in the park.

    The offender sat beside the victim and grabbed his mobile phone. The offender then grabbed the victim’s neck before letting go and running off towards Wolverton swimming pool with the victim’s mobile phone.

    The victim was not injured.

    The offender is described as a black man, around 5ft 10ins tall and of a slim build. He is believed to be in his late teens to early twenties and was wearing a black balaclava, black clothing and black trainers.   

    Investigating officer Detective Constable Laura Smith, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “We would like to appeal to anybody who may have witnessed this incident or have CCTV or dash-cam footage in the area to please get in touch.
