Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Barber joined officers from CMK Neighbourhood Policing Team on patrol in the new city yesterday.
Mr Barber accompanied the officers when they attended properties subject to closure orders. On one visit, they located someone who had been wanted since April – she was arrested.
As the Police and Crime Commissioner, Mr Barber is responsible for setting policing priorities through a Police and Crime Plan, holding the Chief Constable to account, allocating resources and working with communities and partners to reduce crime and improve safety.
Writing on social media, TVP MK said that Mr Barber's presence "reflects his commitment to understanding frontline policing and supporting the work our officers do every day.”
