Planning application for new KFC Drive Thru and Hotel for Milton Keynes submitted

A planning application for a new KFC Drive Thru and Hotel has been submitted to Milton Keynes Council.

The hotel and restaurant would be located on the H9 Groveway between the junctions of the A421/H8 Standing Way and the V11 Tongwell Street, close to Thurlow Nunn Vauxhall.

SME Group, who are applying for the development, haven't stated which hotel brand would be located at the site but they currently operate brands such as Comfort Inn and Holiday Inn under franchise elsewhere in the UK.

The hotel would have 87 bedrooms and 80 parking spaces will be provided in total.

Access to the new site would be provided via the existing Thurlow Nunn access road.

Milton Keynes Council's pre-application advice stated that they had 'no objection in principle to the use of the site as a hotel and drive through restaurant, subject to compliance with other policies within the development plan'.

A decision on the proposal will be taken in due course.
