Pets at Home back open following fire in Milton Keynes branch

Following last week’s fire at Pets at Home in Rooksley, the company has issued a release to reassure customers that no animals were trapped in the building during the incident.

The store and practice are both open as normal following the small, isolated fire, which was caused by an electrical fault.

A spokesperson for the company said: “All pets were safely removed from the building as a precaution and checked by our veterinary team.

“We'd like to thank Bucks Fire and Rescue crews and Pets at Home and Vets for Pets colleagues for their swift actions, which helped keep pets and our people safe…and we extend our thanks to customers and clients for their patience and kind words of support.”
