Peter Pan at The Chrysalis Theatre Milton Keynes postponed due to 'worsening Covid-19 pandemic'

Peter Pan was due to be shown at The Chrysalis Theatre, located within the Camphill Community in Willen Park, throughout December and January.

Unfortunately, The Chrysalis Theatre has taken to social media to announce that the remaining dates of the panto have now been postponed.

The statement reads: "It is with regret that the decision has been taken to postpone the current production of Peter Pan.

"This decision has been taken in light of the worsening Covid-19 pandemic and it's recent impact on some cast members.

"For the safety of customers, production team and the residents of the Camphill MK.

"All ticket holders will be contacted with details of next steps for refund. All enquiries should please be sent to boxoffice@1702productions.co.uk and not to the theatre directly. Thank you."

The show starred comedy ventriloquist, Steve Hewlett, in the role of Mr. Smee, along with his right-hand man (literally) Arthur Lager as Grandpa Smee.  Alongside Steve was celebrity quizzer and West End actor, CJ de Mooi. Lucy Rose Rollason played the lead and Mr Blobby even made a special appearance.

Following restrictions in 2020, pantomimes were cancelled up and down the country and now with Plan B introduced this week, more restrictions have been bought in for theatres.

Milton Keynes Theatre's Jack and The Beanstalk panto is set to still go ahead. Starring Britain’s Got Talent winners, Street Dance sensations Ashley Banjo & Diversity, the show is set to begin today (11/12) and run until 8th January. There are still tickets available here.

MK Theatre is asking for visitors to wear a face covering as well as show their NHS Covid Pass, along with Plan B guidelines.
