Over 10,000 people expected to gather in Milton Keynes park for India Day MK 2022

    India Day: MK returns to Campbell Park from 12pm today (25/6).

    Following a successful event in 2019, with a turnout of around 6000 people from Milton Keynes and the surrounding counties, India Day: MK is back.

    Local people are being invited to Campbell Park to explore Indian heritage with 'exciting, vibrant and fully inclusive' family friendly activities.

    It is expected by the organisers that over 10,000 people will gather to celebrate Indian heritage today, making it one of the biggest Cultural/Carnival/festivals in the UK.

    Activities taking place include:

    • Vibrant Indian dance and musical performances
    • 250 participants in an electrifying Community Parade represented by 14 Regions
    • 12 caterers serving delicious Indian Cuisine.
    • Indian-style coolers - ice golas, sugarcane Juice, shikanji, lassi…
    • Kids’ entertainment area
    • Indian Artifacts for sale20 plus generous sponsors rolling out freebies, samples, and promotional offers

    A spokesperson for IDMK explains: "India Day Milton Keynes (IDMK) is a cultural, community-driven, not-for-profit, non-political and non-religious organisation of the Indian Diaspora in Milton Keynes.

    "The aim of IDMK is to showcase the unity in diversity of all communities through a cultural event held during the middle of British summer (usually the last weekend of June)."
