Speaking to MKFM, the Dons Chairman claims they "can't keep slipping" down the league.

MK Dons recently appointed Dan Micciche as First Team Manager and Pete Winkleman is resolute in his decision, "We've had great success taking a manager in his first job, you have to look at the plan Dan had and it covers every angle. I'm really excited about it and for me, it's probably the least risk I can take."

Micciche previously worked at MK Dons as coach of the academy, so is familiar with the setup at MK1. "What you learn with managers, and with players, whatever the track record of the people, it has to work in that moment, they have to be in the right place at the right time and I know that Dan absolutely understands this place he's been a big part of how we feel about our football here and the sort of football we want to play, it's what our supporters expect of us and it's what players that come to this club for."

MK Dons currently sit in 21st position in League One and Winkleman knows that success is needed immediately at Stadium:MK, "We cannot be where we are, we really, really have to get our best foot forward and i think with Dan and Keith and of course Dean Lewington, when you put all that together it's a wise choice but the proof will be on the pitch."
