Weekend car park blaze tackled by three fire crews.
Firefighters from three Milton Keynes stations were called yesterday to tackle a nine vehicle car park blaze.
The crews, from Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service’s West Ashland, Broughton, Newport Pagnell centres, had to use breathing apparatus to fight the fire.
One car among the nine was identified as a hybrid, said the fire service. Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment, thermal image cameras, main jets and hose reels to deal with the blaze.
Crews remained on scene for some hours afterwards, damping down and monitoring the temperatures following the early morning fire in Northfield.
