NHS workers in Milton Keynes receive 'thank you' ice-creams for working during pandemic

NHS workers in Milton Keynes received a pleasant surprise this lunchtime as a local business dropped off 'thank you' ice-creams for their work during the pandemic.

Soft99whip, a local ice-cream van company, visited Whaddon Medical Centre and Water Eaton Medical Centre in Bletchley armed with plenty of flakes, cones and wafers that read "NHS".

The team saw a huge queue of hungry workers who patiently waited in line, and around 75 ice creams were given out in total.

Scott Maynard, Director of Soft99whip, explained why this trip was so important to him.

He said: "Even though last year was hard for us as a business, we just wanted to give something back to the community and say a huge thank you to the NHS for all their hard work that they do, especially in the pandemic."

Soft99whip has been operating in Milton Keynes since 2013 and is often seen working with local schools and attending any community & charity events.

In 2018 they were part of a world record attempt for the world's longest ice-cream parade and raised over £400 for Willen Hospice.
