Wavendon welcomes the opening of the long-anticipated Co-Op store on Glebe Farm.
Parish Council Chairman, Cllr David Hopkins has welcomed the opening of the Co-Op store on Glebe Farm in Wavendon parish today, Thursday 12th February.
The formal ribbon cutting was undertaken by Year 7 and Year 8 students from the nearby Glebe Farm Combined School.
Cllr Hopkins commented ‘The opening of the store marks the latest phase in the development of our community in Glebe Farm and an important step towards achieving the community cohesion we are all working to develop across the whole of our parish. The Co-op assure us they want to work closely with the Parish Council on a plethora of initiatives and have generously contributed a trolly full of items towards the Glebe Farm School operated local foodbank that supports residents in our local area’.
