Campaign open to find new council members.
The ambulance trust responsible for Milton Keynes has announced details of elections to appoint new members to its council of governors.
South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS) is looking for eight public governors, one community first responder (CFR) governor, and two staff governors to help shape the future direction of the organisation and ensure the voices of its communities are heard.
They are inviting applications from people who are passionate about local healthcare, engaged in their communities, and keen to play an important role in supporting and challenging the trust. The deadline for nominations is 5pm on 8th January next year. Results will be declared on 25th February.
“If you care about the quality of emergency and urgent care services, want to make a difference, or are simply interested in contributing to the strategic direction of SCAS, we encourage you to consider standing for election,” said an SCAS spokesperson.
“Governors bring valuable insight from the communities they represent and play a vital role in ensuring the trust remains responsive to local needs.”
To stand for election, individuals must be a member of the trust, which is free to register for, and is open to anyone living in Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, or Hampshire.
