New gigabit-fibre broadband service launches in Milton Keynes

Fibrehop, a new full-fibre broadband service, launches in Milton Keynes today offering residents faster, stronger and more affordable internet connectivity.

Fibrehop will use CityFibre’s new state-of-the-art network to deliver gigabit speed internet services to homes across MK for just £36 per month.

Fibrehop is a new consumer brand from wholesale full-fibre ISP, Triangle Networks, who have been delivering internet services to businesses across the Midlands, South East and South West since 2004.

The first homes in Milton Keynes are expected to go live with Fibrehop later this month. This comes at a crucial time for residents who are currently working and learning from home, putting increasing pressure on their internet connections as well as their work life balance.

Fibrehop customers will be able to live life without the limitations of a poor internet connection and will experience broadband that can keep up with the demands of even the most data-hungry households. Customers can expect seamless working, streaming and gaming, even when the whole family is online at the same time.

Fibrehop and Triangle Networks CEO, Paul Anslow, says: “We’re thrilled to be bringing Fibrehop to the residents of Milton Keynes and launching our new service in such a leading digital city.

“Now more than ever it is critical that we have access to fast, reliable internet connections and we look forward to working with the local community and being part of Milton Keynes’ gigabit revolution.”

Founder Paul Anslow also holds a strong belief that community and education are pivotal in the development of these digital projects. As such, Fibrehop will be reaching out to schools and colleges, community organisations and businesses to help nurture the next generation of tech talent and end digital poverty.

Paul added: “Giving back has been a major part of what I do, what Triangle Networks does and what Fibrehop will do moving forward. I’m incredibly passionate about education and we’ll be doing everything we can in the region to support individuals, young people and businesses in equipping people with the digital skills to succeed.

Jean Gowin, Milton Keynes City Manager at CityFibre, says: “We are delighted to welcome Fibrehop onto our Milton Keynes network. With CityFibre having recently invested £40m into the city, I’m excited we are bringing more consumer choice to residents, especially at a time when there is increased need for connectivity. With four out of five homes now having access to a full fibre service here in MK, once again Milton Keynes is leading the way as a full fibre smart city.”
