National Industry Awards win for MyMiltonKeynes BID

MyMiltonKeynes BID is celebrating national success once again.

The collective took Gold in the Street Scene / Visual Impact category and Silver in the Security & Safety category at the National BID Awards 2026.

The awards recognise the organisation’s transformative work across Central Milton Keynes.

The Gold award acknowledges the BID’s hands-on approach to improving the look, feel and environmental quality of the city centre.

Judges recognised initiatives delivered by the BID’s in-house landscaping team, including large-scale lavender planting to enhance biodiversity, the installation of high-impact floral displays along Midsummer Boulevard, proactive street scene improvements such as Operation Bike Lock and the revitalisation of Grafton Park, transforming an underused space into a cleaner, greener and more welcoming urban park.

The Silver award for Security & Safety recognises the BID’s major overhaul of its city centre safety approach, including the introduction of a proactive security presence and the rollout of a BID-led radio network connecting businesses, police and CCTV partners.

These initiatives have strengthened partnership working, improved business confidence and contributed to a safer city centre environment.

“I’m incredibly proud of our team. We’re a 14-strong group of people who genuinely care about Milton Keynes and take real pride in the work we deliver every single day," said CEO Jill Farnsworth, "These awards are recognition of the dedication, professionalism and passion our public realm teams bring to the city centre.

"Seeing their work recognised nationally means a huge amount to them and is inspiration to keep delivering even more.”
