A mobile COVID-19 antibody testing unit will be in Milton Keynes on Wednesday (5/8) and Friday (7/8).

The finger prick test, which costs £60, will be conducted by biomedical company NTL Biologica outside David Lloyd gym in Newlands.

NTL Biologica's testing unit will be outside David Lloyd between 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm on Wednesday, and 9:30 am – 1:30 pm on Friday.

A spokesman said: "With the government officially allowing the reopening of gyms and leisure facilities from the 25th July, we have associated with David Lloyd Clubs to provide antibody testing to their members and local residents around the country interested in their past infection history prior to getting back to the gym."

He added: "Our Covid-19 Antibody Test consists of a simple blood sample taken from a small finger prick that is carried out by one of our trained technicians in the test unit. The blood sample is then analysed by our point of care fluorescent immunoassay system to reduce any human error readings. Results will be sent to you confidentially within 12 hours."

Although the bus will be stationed in the secure gym car park, anybody can book an antibody test. However, slots must be pre-booked, and you can do so here
