MKFM puts local homeless man up for Christmas

MKFM is providing a hotel room, breakfast and dinner for local homeless man Mark over the Christmas period.

Mark often sits outside our studios at intu Milton Keynes. We have given Mark a hotel room for three nights over Christmas as well as arranging breakfast and dinner for him.

Darren Dorrington, MKFM Managing Director said, ''We've known Mark for 18 months now and have been trying to help him as much as possible. Our entire team keep an eye on him and have assisted him with food and basic medical supplies. We have been constantly pushing the council and our MP's to do more to help people like Mark. It will be a comfort to know that Mark will be safe and warm over Christmas and hopefully we can find a long-term solution in the new year. ''

A campaign called Rave Aid is to be launched by local music producer James Shiers to raise enough cash to rent a house for Mark.

Admission to the Boxing Day Rave Aid is £5.50. Tickets are on sale now here. The event will cover five styles of music to appeal to all - House, Garage, Classics, DnB and Jungle. You can also donate as little as £1 to support Rave Aid here.
