    Retail Closures

    Following the Government's announcement on Monday 23rd March, all shops selling non-essential goods closed until further notice. This includes clothing and electronic stores - as well as other premises like libraries, playgrounds and outdoor gyms, and places of worship.

    Disney, Morano's, TK Maxx, Build a bear, Ask Italian, Virgin Holidays, Clarks, Head Way, Yo sushi, Electric Vehicle Centre, River Island, L'Occitane, Typo, Byron Burger, Phelans, Castle Fine Art, Khiels, The Body shop, Carluccio's, Pizza Express, Hobbs, Phase Eight, White Company, Moss Bross, Apricot, Lush, Hotel Chocolat, Nomination Italy, Jigsaw, Whittards, Ann Summers, Joules, Smiggle, Oliver Bonas, Quiz, Bravissimo, Pandora, The Perfume Shop, Swarovski, Skechers, Cafe Rouge.

    McDonalds – Closed until further notice. 

    TGI Fridays – All restaurants are temporarily closed.

    Prezzo – Both Milton Keynes restaurants will be closed until further notice.

    Nandos - Another one of the restaurants to fully close. 

    Costa, Starbucks and Pret a Manger - The coffee chains have temporarily closed. 

    Supermarkets 

    Tesco Wolverton – Closed from 10pm until 6am until further notice.

    Asda Bletchley – 24 hours ceased to operate.

    Postponed Events

    As of Monday 23rd March, the Government has banned all gatherings of more than 2 people. All events due to take place in the near future will not go ahead. Many local events have been postponed until later on the year, including: 

    Chase and Status at Marshall Arena – Postponed until Saturday 17th October

    MK Marathon – Rearranged for 5th and 6th September

    MK Job Show – Rearranged for Friday 18th and Saturday 19th September

    School closures

    ALL MK schools (including nurseries, private schools and sixth forms) will close from Friday 20th March for the foreseeable future. This excludes vulnerable children and the children of key workers. Click here to read a statement from the Education Secretary. 

    Church, mosque and places of prayer closures

    As of Monday 23rd March, the Government has closed all places of worship. The Government has also stopped all social events​, including weddings, baptisms and other ceremonies, but will allow funerals.
