MK Dons target Steve Cotterill as Karl Robinson replacement

According to The Times, the Dons are hoping to talk with the 52-year-old before the end of the week and he is their preferred candidate for the job.

MK Dons are set to approach former Bristol City manager Steve Cotterill for an interview to replace Karl Robinson who left the club yesterday.

According to The Times, the Dons are hoping to talk with the 52-year-old before the end of the week and he is their preferred candidate for the job.

It is said that his experience in getting clubs promoted is one of the key reasons chairman Pete Winkelman is so keen on making Cotterill the new man in the stadiummk hotseat.

He was sacked by Bristol City last January when they sat in the Championship relegation places, after he had guided them to that division in the same season as Robinson did with the Dons.
