Milton Keynes woman to be a contestant on the next series of MasterChef

Sophia Gallo, who runs her own local cooking school, has been selected to take part in series 17 of MasterChef UK.

Posting on her cooking's school Facebook page, Sofia expressed her excitement with the announcement as she said: "Where do I start??? It felt a year in the making and possibly the hardest news to keep secret.

"I can proudly and officially announce that I will be a MasterChef UK contestant in the coming series 17!

"This won’t be probably last time that I will talk about it because I may be just a little bit excited!!

"My thanks to everyone involved for a fantastic experience. More coming soon ..."

Sofia's cooking school - in cucina con Sofia - provides online Italian cooking tutorials as well as offering homemade food deliveries to the local area.

The next series of MasterChef UK is expected to start Monday 1st March on BBC One.
