Milton Keynes is set to benefit from more than a billion pounds of improvements to the region's water and sewerage infrastructure.
From April Anglian Water will begin work on a number of upgrades including replacing water mains and putting in new store tanks so excess flows can be stored during heavy rainfall and treated later.
The tanks will also prevent untreated water from getting into rivers.
