Milton Keynes Town high street to host shopping event this weekend

Newport Pagnell Town Council are holding its very first ‘Newport Pagnell Shopping Event’ this weekend.

The event is aimed to assist local retailers in their COVID-19 recovery and bring people back to the high street.

Residents can expect to find discounts and special offers galore. The Farmers’ Market will, as usual, be on Friday morning between 8.30 to 13.30 followed by the Food Truck Friday Food Festival, between 17:00 to 20:00.

The high street is home to many popular pubs, restaurants, shops and take-aways.

There will even be free spooky ghost walks around the town, showing residents where Newport Pagnell got its 'One of Britain’s spookiest towns' rep from.

Tonight, there will also be a pop-up art gallery, set up at the Swan Revived Hotel in the Sherrington Room.

On Saturday, there will be a historical tour of the town `Walk Dung Hill Lane with Don Hurst’ which will hugely expand your knowledge of the town’s incredible history.
