Milton Keynes is home to a new world record holder after Amy Dyson took the title for collecting the largest compilation of Tomb Raider video games in the world!
Earlier this year, MKFM told how Amy has been a fan of the action franchise since the 1990s, and she is recognised as an international Tomb Raider community ambassador.
She was even credited on the ‘Shadow of the Tomb Raider’ game that was released in 2018.
“My overall Tomb Raider collection includes around 300 individual items, such as a giant 6-foot Lara Croft statue, clothing, signed posters, shop displays, and various other collectibles,” she told us.
“But my world record attempt focuses on my collection of Tomb Raider games featuring different artworks and regions. This includes some games signed by Lara's original voice actresses and some of the original game developers.”
Now, the Guinness World Record is officially hers - Amy received her prized certificate last week.
“It feels very surreal to finally have the record,” she said, “It's taken many years to collect them. It was a childhood dream of mine to have worked on Tomb Raider, and now to have a world record just tops it all off.
“I'm over the moon that I managed to get the record just in time for Tomb Raider's 30th anniversary next year.
Amy added: “I’m extremely grateful for my friends, family, and work colleagues for helping contribute games, and information about any they may have seen.”
