The new city will be the backdrop for a new television series, The Jacksons of Milton Keynes.
With Hollywood star Eric Roberts and British actor Richard Blackwood leading the cast.
Producer Nana Ofori-Atta, who founded the Film Academy Milton Keynes is joined by award-winning screenwriter and director Blessing Egbe for the project, with filming set to resume later this month.
The eight-part drama series follows 'a powerful family navigating love, loyalty, ambition, and betrayal in a world where keeping up appearances is important irrespective of the cost.'
It has been described as a series blending 'the opulent world of Riches with the grandeur of Dynasty and the emotional punch of a Tyler Perry creation.'
“This is not just a TV series,” Nana said, “It’s a television milestone. We are bringing the kind of representation, scale, and storytelling that has been missing from mainstream television.”
Distribution has already been secured for North America and Europe.
