Milton Keynes teenagers invited to 'The Big Park Hangout' this weekend

A brand new event will be taking place in Milton Keynes this Saturday, especially for teens.

The Parks Trust will be hosting an all-new event for 11–17-year-olds living and studying in Milton Keynes.

Packed with outdoor activities and entertainment, the Big Park Hangout is free-to-attend and lands in Campbell Park on Saturday 12th August from midday ‘til 5pm.

Teenagers will have the chance to discover and experience what MK can offer them, from arts, culture and sports facilities to health, wellbeing, and safety services.

On the day, youngsters can scale a climbing wall, skateboard with the King Ramps professionals, create graffiti art, chillout in giant hammocks, feast on street food, and much more whilst enjoying live music and entertainment.

Alongside which, they’ll have opportunities to explore career options, get to know organisations like Q-Alliance and Girl Pack, meet local Youth Cabinet representatives, and of course, get closer to nature!

“we’re so excited to be providing a safe space for MK’s teenagers to meet up, have fun and connect with their community” says Events & Community Engagement Assistant, Aimee Tidman.

The Big Park Hangout is an event for teenagers, so accompanying adults can be left at the dedicated ‘drop-off’ zone. More event information, including full partner listing and catering vendors can be found here.
