Oakgrove Secondary School raised an incredible £1,500 for the RSPCA Milton Keynes & North Bucks.
Compassion was on full display this month as students at Oakgrove Secondary School raised an incredible £1,500 for the RSPCA Milton Keynes & North Bucks, funds that have already helped transform the life of a critically ill cat.
Meet Pip – an FIV-positive stray tomcat who arrived at the RSPCA in an appalling condition. With his fur heavily matted and soaked in a sticky, unknown substance, Pip was painfully underweight at just 3.7kg, unneutered, unchipped, and alone. He was weak, scared, and in urgent need of medical attention. “Pip’s condition was one of the worst we’ve seen,” said a spokesperson from RSPCA Milton Keynes. “It was heartbreaking. But thanks to the generosity of Oakgrove students, we were able to step in straight away and get him the treatment he so desperately needed.”
Pip has now received full veterinary care, including wound treatment and coat removal, and is recovering in a warm, safe environment under the watchful eye of the RSPCA team. He is on the road to recovery and, in time, will be ready to find a loving forever home. “It’s hard to overstate the difference this donation has made,” the RSPCA added. “Oakgrove didn’t just raise money—they helped save a life.” The funds raised by Oakgrove students will continue to support veterinary treatment and rehabilitation for other animals in desperate need across the Milton Keynes area.
