Oakgrove secondary has been presented with the National Quality in Careers Standard.
The accolade, which was awarded following a rigorous external assessment of the school’s careers education and guidance programme, acknowledges the school's 'strong leadership' and its administers training for staff who plan and deliver a careers package that includes all students.
Delighted to be the first school in Milton Keynes to have achieved the award, Headteacher Ian Tett, said: “At Oakgrove, we recognise the important role the school plays in helping students develop the knowledge, skills and experience they need to achieve personal success.
"Access to a wide range of further education, apprenticeship and work-based providers in our career programme ensures that students make informed decisions about their lives once they leave school and beyond.
“Receiving the Quality in Careers Standard is a well-deserved endorsement of the dedication and commitment of the school’s careers team.”
