Milton Keynes school’s art exhibition

City mayor invited to view local schoolchildren’s talent.

A city school will use one of Milton Keynes’ galleries next week to showcase its art students’ remarkable talent.

Stantonbury School has organised a special showcasing of its student’s work on Monday, at nearby Stantonbury Theatre Gallery. The exhibition will reveal an exciting range of artwork in Art, Photography and 3D Design from Year 11 students.

The Mayor of Milton Keynes James Lancaster has been invited to the exhibition alongside judges, local artists from the community, students, friends and families, to recognise the work of the students. A selection of prizes will also be awarded during the evening.

“In a recent moderators’ report, the students’ work was described as ‘innovative responses presented in a lively and interesting way, showing the development and outcome of submissions’,” said Becky Gouverneur, Co-Lead KS4 Art, Photography & 3DD at Stantonbury School.

This work, along with our recent awards at MK Young Artist of the Year Award, demonstrates the high quality and innovation seen across the Art Department at Stantonbury School.”
