Milton Keynes restaurant hit with fake negative reviews after refusing to serve Tommy Robinson

Newly opened Milton Keynes Sports bar 'Wing Kingz' has been hit with hundreds of fake reviews over the weekend after staff ordered the former EDL leader to leave.

Wing Kingz is a brand new restaurant and sports bar, located in Xscape, Milton Keynes.

Over the weekend, the former EDL leader posted a video of a confrontation in the restaurant, which has since gone viral.

In the video Tommy Robinson is heard telling staff “people have a problem with me, which is probably to do with my politics, and they’ve come over and said I’m not going to be served in here today. Now, I’m not going to take discrimination on that level.”

A staff member then explains: “Unfortunately, none of our staff are happy to serve you, can you please leave the restaurant.”

Later on in the video, Robinson is heard saying he is going to “bring 500 people and shut the restaurant down.”

Following his visit, Tommy Robinson invited his followers to leave reviews of the newly opened sports bar.

Since then, the restaurant has received hundreds of fake reviews. Many of them arguing whether the restaurant made the right choice.

This has led to Tripadvisor having to suspend reviews stating: "Due to a recent event that has attracted media attention and has caused an influx of review submissions that do not describe a first-hand experience, we have temporarily suspended publishing new reviews for this listing.

"If you’ve had a firsthand experience at this property, please check back soon - we’re looking forward to receiving your review!"

Despite the negative reviews, not all were bad.

Lots of supporters of the restaurant have also taken to social media to praise their handling of the situation.

In response, Wing Kingz has posted a statement stating that it does “not tolerate racism or discrimination in any shape or form."

They say: “We are a diverse business with customers and staff from all backgrounds and are committed to creating a safe, comfortable environment for everyone who steps through our doors.”

They finished with "This matter is now with the police, and anything further will be dealt with by them."

Responding to statement, one person wrote: "I can only applaud your staff and their response to having had a visit from that person. If I'm ever up that way I shall be seeking you out for some quality food."
