The scammers are pretending they work for Milton Keynes Council.

The Council are warning residents of a new scam circulating Milton Keynes.

The scammers are pretending they work for Milton Keynes Council in a bid to fraud local residents by claiming that they are raising money for Afghan refugees.

MK Council posted the warning on Facebook: "We’re aware some scammers are operating saying they’re working for MK Council raising money for Afghan refugees, to trick or defraud people. This is not the case."
