Milton Keynes residents left frustrated by Argos returns

Residents of Milton Keynes have found they can't return their Argos purchases at Argos or Sainsbury's in Milton Keynes, instead, they are expected to travel to Olney.

People of Milton Keynes have raised concerns about having to travel to Olney to return their Argos purchases.

Several customers have tried to return products to Argos in Milton Keynes, only to be told they need to go to Sainsbury's for returns.

However, Sainsbury's in Milton Keynes does not have an Argos in-store so returns cannot be done in there, and the nearest Sainsbury's with and Argos is in Onley.

Milton Keynes residents have expressed concerns that they risk being fined if they make the 10-mile trip to Olney, as it's outside the local area.

They are also concerned this is not advertised by Argos until they go to the store, meaning multiple trips to various locations across and outside the city.

Some even don't have access to transport to Olney meaning they cannot even return their purchases at all.

An Argos spokesperson told us that customers will still be able to return their purchases up to 30 days after Argos shops reopened.

In a statement, they said: "Our standalone stores are currently open for pick up only.

"Refunds are available from Argos stores within Sainsbury’s stores but customers can also now return items for up to 30 days after Argos standalone stores reopen."
