Milton Keynes residents can remember loved ones during Twilight Lantern Week this September

Twilight is a popular event in the Hospice calendar and this years event will take place 19th – 22th September.

This year, the event will also include special Anniversary Remembrance Roses to commemorate the charity's 40th.

A beautiful lantern display will be lit up in the Hospice Gardens between 7 – 8.30pm each evening. Everyone is welcome to view the display, but Hospice fundraisers are encouraging people to purchase their own lantern or rose too.

You can choose to include your decorated lantern or rose in the display in the Willen Hospice gardens, or keep it at home. The rose will be returned to you after the display, and you can choose to collect your lantern up as well.

Willen Hospice needs to raise £4.7 million every year, that’s £9 a minute, to continue to deliver specialist care to patients in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.

It’s been a challenging year for the charity, and they appreciate any support from the local community so they can keep their doors open and provide vital end-of-life care, and assistance and support for those with life-limiting illnesses.
