The Secretary of State for Education, The Rt Hon Bridget Phillipson MP, has congratulated Middleton Primary School.
The MP highlighted the ‘excellent outcomes the disadvantaged pupils achieved at the end of the 2024/25 academic year.’
In a letter to the school, the Minister wrote that ‘the school’s performance places it among the very best nationally, and this is a significant achievement’.
The Secretary of State thanked the school for everything it does ‘to give children the best possible opportunities to succeed’ and added: ‘This success reflects the dedication of your staff and the hard work of your pupils. It shows what can be achieved when ambition and commitment come together.’
Thrilled that the Education Minister has acknowledged that Middleton’s ‘achievements demonstrate what is possible’, Headteacher Rachel Roberts said: “We know all of our children exceptionally well and we value every child for their individual strengths and qualities. Through expert teaching and learning, combined with a personalised approach, we are able to raise standards and ensure every pupil reaches their full potential.
“I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher at Middleton, and that the outstandingachievements of our staff and pupils have been recognised by the Department for Education.”
