Milton Keynes Pride Festival has been rescheduled for next year

It has been announced that the Milton Keynes Pride Festival has been rescheduled for 2021.

The popular event, which sees thousands of people attend, will be taking place in Campbell Park on September 11th 2021.

"We are very mindful that we want to produce an event of the same quality as last years," organisers said in a statement. "Our aim is to exceed expectations year on year as we get bigger and better. Given the magnitude of the event set up and preparations involved it would not be possible to hold off making a decision until the very last minute."

They continued: "After closely evaluating the ongoing risks and uncertainty, as well as any additional pressures a large event would put on the NHS and emergency services, we have consulted with everyone involved and a decision was made to reschedule the event."

Organisers have said now that the main event has been postponed, they will work alongside The Parks Trust to provide a small scale event for the LGBTQ+ community in Milton Keynes this year factoring in Government guidelines.
