Milton Keynes PCSO retires after decades of service as police pay tribute

After two decades spent helping to keep the Milton Keynes public safe, Police Community Support Officer, David Nixon C9681 patrolled the streets for a final time yesterday.

Writing on social media, Thames Valley Police paid tribute at the end of his 'remarkable career', and said: '...from day one you've been much more than a Police Community Support Officer. You've been a pillar of strength, a friendly face, and a steadfast protector of our neighbourhoods.

'Over the last two decades, you've faced challenges, big and small, always unwavering dedication and a calm, reassuring confidence. You've built bridges between the Police force and the people you serve, turning neighbourhoods into communities and strangers into friends. We know that behind the uniform, there's a person who truly cares - someone who has given so much, not just in service but in spirit. Now, as you step into retirement, it's our turn to say thank you.

Here's to Dave - 20 years of outstanding service, and a lifetime of friendship. Cheers!'
