Milton Keynes MPs to host National Lottery Funding event for local community groups

MPs Iain Stewart and Ben Everitt are set to host an event with the National Lottery Community Fund and local community groups are invited to discover how they can benefit from funding.

In 2020/21 the Fund distributed nearly £700 million worth of funding to community groups, charities and organisations across the UK to help them make a difference in their local areas.

Now, the local MPs Iain Stewart, Milton Keynes South and Ben Everitt, Milton Keynes North, say they are trying to make local groups aware of the funding opportunities available to them.

They will be hosting an event next month, in the morning of Friday 29th April.

Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, said: “We have some truly incredible community groups in Milton Keynes and I want to make sure they have access to funding to help them continue to do their important work.

“This event will be a fantastic opportunity for groups to find out what the National Lottery Community Fund offers and the chance to have one-to-one discussions with a local funding officer.”

Iain Stewart, the MP for Milton Keynes South, commented: "Milton Keynes has such a diverse range of brilliant community groups and organisations that provide constituents with many opportunities in their daily lives.

"The National Lottery already generously fund groups and organisations across Milton Keynes, and this is an excellent opportunity for new or existing recipients to learn more about what funding they are eligible for.

"I would therefore encourage local groups and organisations to attend the event I am co-hosting with Ben Everitt MP."
