Milton Keynes MP gives blood and encourages others to do the same

Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, has given blood locally and encouraged other people to do the same and help save a life.

It is suggested that nearly 400 new donors a day are needed to meet demand, as well as 40,000 more black donors to meet growing demand for better-matched blood.

30,000 new donors with priority blood types such as O negative are needed every year and more young people to start giving blood so we can make sure we have enough blood in the future.

Blood.co.uk say: "We need more O negative, B negative, and A negative donors."

Each donation can save up to three lives.

Ben Everitt MP said: "It's easy to do, you could save a life, and there's even free biscuits!"

You can sign up to give blood or find out more here.
