Milton Keynes man jailed for four counts of racial or religious aggravated harassment

Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police a man has been sentenced, after he was convicted of harassment.

Jason Hein, aged 56, of Ashfield Grove, Bletchley, was convicted of four counts of racial or religious aggravated harassment at Aylesbury Crown Court in August.

Today (15/12) at the same court, Hein was sentenced to a total of 53 weeks’ imprisonment and was made the subject of a restraining order for five years.

Hein harassed three of his neighbours, one man and two women, in Ashfield Grove on dates between December 2017 and August 2021.

Investigating officer, PC David Smith, of Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Hein harassed his neighbours subjecting them to abuse about their race and religion, as well as swearing at them.

“This made them feel unsafe in their homes and put them through a great deal of stress.

“Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated by Thames Valley Police and I hope this case shows that such matters are taken seriously by the police and the courts.

“If anyone has or is suffering similar harassment, please contact the force. You can leave information on our website or call us on 101. We will listen and support you.”
