Milton Keynes man arrested as investigation into Crooked House Pub fire in Staffordshire continues

    A 66-year-old man from Dudley and a 33-year-old man from Milton Keynes were arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life, Staffordshire Police said.

    Detectives investigating the fire at the Crooked House pub in Himley have arrested two men.

    A 66-year-old man, from Dudley, and a 33-year-old man, from Milton Keynes, have been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.

    They remain in custody today (24 August) and are being questioned by officers while the investigation continues.

    The investigation follows a fire at Britain's 'wonkiest' pub on 5th August.

    The popular 18th-century pub made national headlines after it was burned down just two weeks after it was sold by pub company Marston's to a private buyer.
