Milton Keynes loft boss hoping for national awards

Former rifleman has top titles in his sights.

A Milton Keynes businessman has been short-listed for two prestigious titles in a national entrepreneur awards scheme.

Ryan Evans, director of Stacey Bushes-based MK Loft Boarding has been nominated for the pair of categories in the influential 2025 Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

The nominations are in recognition of the speed of MK Loft Boarding’s success and of Ryan’s earlier career in the British Army. The former Royal Green Jackets rifleman is shortlisted in the Veteran Entrepreneur of the Year category, which recognises businesspeople who have channelled their military discipline and leadership experiences into the workplace.

He is also a finalist in the Scale-Up Entrepreneur of the Year category – backing businesses that have shown fast growth, job creation and revenue.

Known as ‘The Grammys of Entrepreneurship’, the Allica Bank awards celebrate the most exceptional and inspiring business stories across the UK. This year’s shortlist includes more than 800 entrepreneurs from every UK region, all recognised for their innovation, impact and resilience.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be named a finalist,” said Ryan, who was the 2024 Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards (MKBAA) Entrepreneur of the Year.

“It’s an incredible honour to be recognised alongside some of the UK’s most exciting and ambitious businesses. This recognition is a huge testament to the hard work of our team and our mission to create safe accessible storage areas in lofts.”

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in November, at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
